So this Charcoal Canister sitting here to one side of my engine bay ,
What dose it do & is it important :?: & what would happen if you took it out , that would also go for the purge valve next to it

Has anyone just pulled it out :?: :?: :?:

It's there to catch fuel vapours and prevent them being released to the atmosphere. Mine was removed umpteen years ago with no ill effect :D

What did you do with the feed from the tank? I have installed mine in the TG but my Link doesn't have a purge control drive so it is just sitting there doing nothing. The vacuum feed and electrics are no problem, just the line from the tank.
TG Sports, classic roadster - modern technology. NA1800, 99 head, 11:1 +2mm Wiseco pistons, Link LEM, Alloy f/wheel, JR headers.

the various feed are just sitting there, uncapped - the intake manifold is sealed off tho (mechanic did all this, not me). Can't say I've ever noticed a gassy smell because of it, and it lives in an enclosed garage. I have a Link as well... :)
