Charcoal Canister

So this Charcoal Canister sitting here to one side of my engine bay ,
What dose it do & is it important

& what would happen if you took it out , that would also go for the purge valve next to it

Has anyone just pulled it out

It's there to catch fuel vapours and prevent them being released to the atmosphere. Mine was removed umpteen years ago with no ill effect

What did you do with the feed from the tank? I have installed mine in the TG but my Link doesn't have a purge control drive so it is just sitting there doing nothing. The vacuum feed and electrics are no problem, just the line from the tank.

the various feed are just sitting there, uncapped - the intake manifold is sealed off tho (mechanic did all this, not me). Can't say I've ever noticed a gassy smell because of it, and it lives in an enclosed garage. I have a Link as well...
