Hi,
We have just bought an MX5 and after dark found we had no headlights when on
dip, full beam is OK though. Anyone had this problem? Possibly fuse or relay,
or even help on finding the relay!
Cheers
Lincoln.

Headlights no go in dip

rare that both will fail at the same time, but it is possible due to inrush
currents when they are turned on and I have seen it once before on the high
beam side. That is the easiest thing to check first (well after the fuse -
fusebox diagrams here http://www.mx5club.org.nz/maintenance/fuses/ ) Maybe
plug in a known good sealed beam unit, or check for 12V at the connector.
There is a lighting schematic for 94 & 95 here, but unfortunately it doesn't
show headlights so it is probably not much good to you.

And... unfortunately somebody on this list still hasn't returned my hanes
manual...so I can't check further
