Electricians - North Shore

Post by Simon Lord » Tue Dec 02, 2003 10:35 pm

Can anyone please recommend a good MX5-aware auto electrician on the North
Shore (further north the better) or in Albany? My jellybean is consistently
flattening its (new) battery. This morning I took it off the charger fully
charged, it started OK, went for a 10kms journey, started OK after 30 mins to
come home again... by 7.30pm it was flat again. This problem has been going on
for a while but has got much much worse recently. I don't have much time at
the moment but can be without the car, so I want to find a good reliable
electrician who will take the car and guarantee to sort it out!

Will appreciate all suggestions.

Steve at Milford Autoelectrical (actually Porana Rd , Glenfield) is a bit of a MX5 nut - he's the one working towards an 11sec-quartermile MX5...!

H'mm,

An 11 second 1/4 mile in an MX5, you could probably achieve that by dropping
it from a great height! 1320 ft sounds about right. What on earth has he
done to it?

(Actually, I just worked it out, dropped from 1320 ft (1/4 mile) it would
not hit the ground that quickly).

11sec would put him in the top10 here:

I actually have his old setup, which would put me at only #25 or so... ;)
