Ok, we don't want to turn this into a "Radio Club", but the Radio Techs
amongst us might be interested to know that I have pictures of an MF/HF
station which my Grandfather installed in the British Embassy at Peking
(Beijing) in about 1930. (We have a history in this industry)
The tubes on that were about the size of a half-gallon flagon. As a matter
of interest, this radio had been de-installed from SS Berengaria, the Cunard
Liner, and was the radio on which the World's first TV transmission by radio
was received in 1927.
