Can someone advise a good source for style bars in Auckland if there is one. Am looking for twin hoops.
Many thanks.

There arent too many places doing style bars. I did
hear of one place in Christchurch though. If you
decide to have them custom made, check out my
cardomain site:
http://miata.cardomain.com/id/supasparky
that shows how i made up my DIY Audi TT style bars,
you could get someone to copy the design. The hoops
were just bought from an exhaust shop pre bent.
Cheers

Is there any more news on the LTSA/WOF style bar situation? The article in
Top Down was very informative, but there was not a conclusion at that point.
Thanks

Simon,
I haven't heard any more on the issue so just thought I'd bite the bullet and get some. Agree on the article, would be good to get some closure. I figure that if they don't extend beyond the edges of the seat too much and are reasonably set back from the seat, they should be OK at present. Will be interesting to see what happens to all those Audi TT's and Porsche Boxters if they do become illegal.
Jusy to prompt some thought, I was recently in the US talking to an ex-pat Aussie. He was talking about the US mentality on law changes they don't like e.g. it took the Californian authorities 5 years to get mandatory helmets for motorbikes as bikers took them through the courts. He made the point that Kiwis and Aussies just lie dowm and take it... Makes you think doesn't it, we are all just waiting around for someone to change the law for whatever reason and we will no doubt all accept it.

Arlo Guthrie once made a comment, something like, "You have to be at least
40 to become a politician, it takes at least 25 years with the organisation
to become that much of a bastard!"
I've always felt that anyone who would willingly be a politician needs to
get a life,...and an MX5!

Eric
