Thankas again for all the suggestions,
When I got the clutch changes by a commercial outfit it was making the
noises from day one but they said it was just muffler rattle and would be
easily fixed. When I later replaced their clutch myself because of a dodgy
or not replaced clutch thrust bearing, the squealing stopped but the rattle
continued. But it has only occured since the first clutch change so I'm
hoping it is something to do with that. When I reassembled the clutch I put
good high temp grease on the pivot points of the Clutch thrust bearing
carrier so I would not expect it to be that. Still on the next fine weekend
I will get underneath and check all the muffler brackets and the heat shiels
around the cat converter.

Did you also lube the end of the push rod where it meets the throw out arm?

Yup did that too, basically I followed the Enthusiast Workshop manual to the
letter...well as close as I could.

It sounds like a real bugger, has it got worse since you 1st noticed it?

Hi Lou,
Ummm some days it seems worse than others??Or is it me? I can't really
remember...now it just seems like it's been there for ages. It reminds me of
what you'd call a bucket of bolts rattling around.
I'll get it sorted one of these days
