A week or so back there was some discussion on braided brake hoses. In
relation to this, someone (I think it was Lou) mentioned he had braced
his brake booster and got a more solid feel at the pedal.
I'm keen to give this a go and would appreciate details on where to
brace from and to and possibly a photo of one installed. I've looked
and obviously I need to brace the 'manifold' with the brake lines that
comes out of the booster from moving up when applying the brake. Do
you attach the brace to this cast steel manifold or to the booster
somewhere? What size and material brace is needed as I imagine there
is a bit of force to arrest.
Keen for any comments / info.
Thanks
Ian

I can't post a photo. But all the brace is, is a fabricated bracket that
mounts to the upper shock mount and pushes against the end of the master cyl
with a set screw. The set screw is adjusted to put pressure against the cyl.

I'm contemplating it also, along with a million other little things...

Thanks, Lou - I'll have a look at that option.
