Wiring loom query

Post by Dez Cross » Thu May 15, 2003 10:51 pm

I have a 1994 Eunos Roadster J-Spec ll thats had some work done on it at the auto electrician recently. When I picked up the vehicle there was a four pin connector on the loom near the left tail light inside the boot. It looks like this extra wiring was factory fitted but is not connected to anything. Our other '90 model does not have it. does anyone have any ideas or can shed some light on what this extra wiring was/is intended for?

I had one in my old 91 back in the UK - I think the rear halogen fog lamp
which had to be fitted as standard in the UK was attached to it.

I have a 94 S Spec & yes it is there. I think it was for the smoke/oil
getaway trail and auto numberplate switching device that only the SS* models
have.

Actually, there it a nice 12V permanent feed in there that would be useful
for a boot light, and probably a spare cable that could be used for a boot
release solenoid. The fog lamp sounds like a sensible 'true' use.
