I've been away too. The trouble with NZDC is that they tend to preach to the
converted. You seldom see or hear from them in the media, although that is
possibly not their fault with the standard of journalism in NZ. The Police and
LTSA advertising contracts are far too lucrative to jeopardise.
On another subject, I've spent a week in Nelson/Marlborough. If it wasn't for
the gross infestation of highway fleas this would be drivers heaven. Lightly
travelled, well designed roads, beautiful weather, capable drivers, just
marvellous.
