MX5 Brake noise

Has anyone got an answer to the following.

I have a 1989 MX5 that has just started making a load clicking noise from the
front when the brake is applied. Any ideas of what it can be.

I had that problem and "those who should know" in Invercargill decided that "the pins" needed lubrication. That was done and know what? It was great in the morning and evening but noisier than ever in the heat of the day. Took it to brake specialists and now it's perfect! New (mazda) pads and turned rotors fixed it. Suspect clips had been left out as there are more than usual in the MX5 but haven't been able to verify that. Do you have a slight "pulsation" or hesitation in braking as well?
