Hi all,
Further to fuel related problems, I've just tried to reinstall the injectors /
fuel rail and found that the top o ring of each injector has been munted,
despite being very careful to position the rail accurately (the fuel spraying
all over the inlet manifold gave me a bit of a clue!). The grommet &
insulator appear to be undamaged.
Do you have to position the injectors into the rail first & then into the
block or the other way around? To do this correctly would be a bonus as Mazda
charge 30.00 + gst for all o ring, grommet and insulator per injector!
Cheers & Beers

Yes, you should insert the injectors into the rail first... and then insert
all four injectors and rail into the intake as a unit...
There's nothing special about those O-rings, as long as you get the size
right, and they're made of a material thats OK in fuel...
Many tuning work-shops will have a collection of new O-rings available in many
sizes... should only be a few cents each?
Fletch.
