2006 mx5

I just got a picture that is claimed to be the "2006 miata" via another
mx5 list. Have to say it doesn't look too good. Think M2 mx5 with grill
and lower body looking rather RX8ish and more squared headlights that
remind me of the latest BMW Z convertible. The pic is the cover of a
Japanese car magazine. Hopefully it is just a photoshop nightmare by
some bored Japanese motoring writer and not the future mx5.

There was an article and a pic of the new 2006 MX5 in last months Popular
Mechanics. I to was not particularly taken with it. But when you see one in
the flesh it may be a different story.

if you go to Miata.net you can see the REAL 2006 MX 5
in diguise. Spotted in Germany undergoing Beta
testing. go to the forum section and click on the "NC
the next generation" youll see that the pix show 5 lug
wheels and totally differenet windscreen, softtop
mechanism and door shape.I doubt that any parts from
the new car can be retro fitted to the NA and NB cars.
