Has anyone tried the MXMart white dial faces . The Italic fonts seem strange .
Do they look OK installed ?

Dial faces

I saw the ones in Hamilton and they look good quality but I didn't like the
font either. Glenn (SLYDIT) made some and they really ROCK! Check out
http://miata.cardomain.com/memberpage/264041/5 he sent me the art work and I
must get round to getting some printed. I looked at importing some of the
electro-luminescent (sp?) ones from the US or UK but they both seem to have a
different full scale reading on the speed, plus they are mph with a small
km/hr scale on the inside.

Glenn had his laser printed onto paper, but I was looking to find some place
that could laser print onto self adhesive whit plastic. We used to have it at
my work years ago but it's about $100 a box and I only need one sheet, plus I
don't have access to a colour laser. Anyone able to help on these two
things???

Cheers all

Hi Gazza

Hey I saw a mod like this on another vehicle and the guy had printed it onto
a CD label, cut around it to size then simply removed the Speedo stick and
placed it over the existing face, replaced the stick which he had to move
twice to have it read correctly and all done!

Just a cheap do it yourself idea mate

Fred

Cheers for the idea Fred

In case anyone is keen to try this please read the
following...
One problem, last winter I bought a bunch of CD labels for
my copy CD's I use in the car. Made some really cool ones
too, but after 2 days the CD player stopped. Took the car in
(new car under warranty)and the CD label had wrinkled, due
to the damp weather the paper had expanded. Looked at the
rest of the CD's in the glove box and all the same to
varying extents. I posted this on a forum I belong to and
others had suffered the same problem. So I'm really wary of
these.

The stickers i used were full A4 sheet sized self
adhesive label paper that was $10 for a box of 20.
Printed them out using my trusty deskjet printer,
Stuck them to white plastic sheeting cut to size. 4
months out in the weather, (no garage) and no problems
so far. (black ink is much more colourfast than other
colours.)
