anyone looking for a bargain MX5?
hi all.
a friend of mine is quitting his 5 - and due to a recent new bike i
can't buy it.
was thinking of making a trackday car...
anyway...
it's a 1990 1.6
NO POWER STEER
MANUAL WINDOWS
Air con
NZ NEW
done 172000 k
mechanically excellent.
6 month old roof by al's in glenfield.
but...
it's scruffy body/paint wise.
nose is marked and miscoloured
bonnet has a mark from an egg (yes if you don't wash them off they
damage the paint)
RH front guard has fist sized dent.
in short - the car need pain and panel - but you'd probable get it for
$3750
if anyone is interested, reply and i'll see if i can get some pics.
i thought it would make a great project...

Hi Ken and All
Sorry but maybe I'm dumb, but what does (Quoting Ken here) this mean...
"Apple's market share is bigger than that of either BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche
in the automotive market. What's wrong with being BMW or Mercedes?"
Steve Jobs - 2004
Is it something about BMW's and Mercedes are still cool??? When I'd go for
the Porsche... I have no idea, although a BMW is a poor mans beginners
Mercedes... (especially the green ones)...
And who the hell is Steve Jobs anyway...
Sorry the only thing I know about computer geeks is they are fun to pick
on...
Someone enlighten me... I sure hope it turns out to be funny...

Hi Gazza
I shall comfortably take the bait... simply to promote the product.
Steve Jobs just happens to be a rather savvy CEO of both Pixar Studios
(Toy Story, Finding nemo etc) and Apple Computer. Got Apple into
trouble in the first place and out of it again in the late 90s. Guess
its a response to all the computer folk out there who "enjoy" and
justify MicroSoft Windoze monopolising their life, finances, time, etc
while they wait for their infernal machine to reboot and have to
reinstall etc. Even tho I'm an Apple user (and really pleased about
that) and Apple Network administrator I advise care asking such a
question... Macintosh users don't just sleep with their machines...
they actually have relationships with them... (yes it is kinda scary),
they love to answer questions like this. Then again we MX owners also
would be comfortable sleeping with our babies... especially if they're red.
Keith
Also with NZ new MX of similar age and stage (but worth spiritually
more than a paltry $3750)

Steve Jobs is the founder and the current CEO of Apple Computers. Have
you ever thought about reading a business section of a newspaper
periodically, as there are things that go on beyond the foreshore and
seabed of NZ
Regards
Bill

Don't knock Bill Gates and his empire! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be
able to afford my MX5.
Why does it have the number plate FIXAPC ?!
Grant.

Hi both Kens,
Thanks for the reply. Pixar has done some great stuff (especially in
cooperation with some Anime companies from Japan), and a apple a day is good
for you
But Bill said "Have you ever thought about reading a business section of a
