There are actually a number here - most of them imported roadsters. Unlikely
you'll find one for $15k, but maybe $20k if you are very lucky or import your
own. Probably $25k or more. They are not as rare as many people think - in
fact I believe there are less of the evolution orange/gold ones around. Many
Americans bought them thinking they'd increase in value, but were a bit
dissappointed... still I still think they are one of the nicer editions, and a
good piece of MX5 history.
There have been a couple that have passed through the NZ Club forsale
listings:

The cheapest there was listed at $30k a year ago.

There may be fewer Evolution Orange cars globally, but here in the Hutt Valley
they are quite common. I know at least 2 in Upper Hutt and have seen another
one around on SH2 between UH and Wellington more than once and there is
currently a very smart looking one with new 17" alloys, a large front air dam,
ABS and 6-speed box for sale at a Lower Hutt dealer (Japanese import of
course). Asking price is $20,990, but it has done 87,000 kms, quite a lot for
a Jap 1998 car. Somebody must have loved it.
