I've just taken a set of the super cheap lights out of my car in favour of
some amber fog lamps.
Nothing really wrong with the super cheap ones, except the beam was un
focused so a bit bright for oncoming cars at night.
Got the amber one's from Auto One in Cnr Austin St & Turner PL, Onekawa;
$40.00. The beam is better focused.
I hadn't got around to wiring a switch into the dash and failed my WOF this
week, I removed them to get the WOF, and will probably be rewiring them this
weekend, as well as attaching the Super Cheap ones into a mates MR2.
I'll also be fitting a grill that I picked up from MX5Mart last weekend
(black).
Give me a call if you want to look and or get a hand not sure exactly when
we'll do it yet, probably Saturday.
As a warning the Sealed beam headlights I purchased from Super Cheap a
couple of months back also failed the WOF as they didn't vary the focus of
the high & low beams, just varied the brightness. I'll have to go back to
Super Cheap and discuss it with them. I'm fitting non sealed beams to
replace them - should have done it last time but was feeling cheap!

I also had to replace the tyres, got some Barum Bravuris (185/60 14's) @
$525.00 for all four fitted and a wheel alignment, from Karamu Tyre Services
in Hastings. They are apparently a Continental tyre made under license in
Portugal, directional and a tread wear index of 280, they look like they
should be good in the wet, and feel better than the Kelly's I had on before
so far (only about 60kms mainly open road so far)
I'll post a quick review of them once I've run them in and had a play on
some back roads.
