I recommend that you download and install a programme called Mailwasher, still
free I believe. When you receive email, open Mailwasher first, before your
normal email programme. All mail is received into Mailwasher and is held while
you decide to accept it or not. You have the option of Deleting, Bouncing it,
Blacklisting that address for the future, or Accepting it through to your
normal email programme. All these functions can be reversed at any time in the
future. If you tick all boxes (Delete, Bounce, Blacklist) no offending mail
can reach you from any person, persons or organisations that are on your
Blacklist. You can still see the mail arrive, but can also see it being
returned unopened.
I highly recommend this programme to filter out unwanted mail.

Sounds good, but doesn't the list mail come from the 'list' rather than any
individual member?
Lyndon.
individual member?
Lyndon.
Solution to unwanted emails (NMC)
The mail comes from the individual person, the list simply passes it on
(FWD's it) to everybody else.
Reply-To is set to mx5list.mx5club.org.nz also
Aside from this, you can create rules in Outlook, Outlook Express,
Thunderbird, whatever and they will automatically bin emails from
certain people.
Cheers

Solution to unwanted emails (NMC)
Correct.
It doesn't interfere with the MX5 list at all. Only the actual email address
of the initial sender that you Bounce and/or Blacklist is marked. No
problems.

Solution to unwanted emails (NMC)
Makes no difference just click on the email properties and copy his address
into your message rule and hey presto, into the deleted items it goes. It
stays in the deleted items folder until you empty it, and you can go have a
look at them if you want but at least it wont be cluttering up you in box
where the interesting stuff is. Works for me and I still get the opportunity
to go read it if and when I want.

Is this a common fault?
