For Lyndon

Post by Bill Rehm » Sat Apr 15, 2006 10:14 am

Poor, poor, and I might be forgiven for thinking pathetic, Lyndon. I
suspect most on the list did not "understand'.

The marks you refer to are in fact, at least within the English
language, referred to as quotation marks, NOT as you have stated them to
be, question marks.

However you do get an "A" for effort, but unfortunately an "F" for
performance in your understanding of the English language, which I might
be forgiven for thinking, is not the only thing you perform poorly at .
intellectually or otherwise.

This quote is for you mate:

"The world is full of educated derelicts"
- Woodrow Wilson

BTW, you obviously are in desperate need "of help". Here's what I'll do.
Reduce my hourly rate by 40% to assist you . solely based on your
obvious desperate need and given its Easter.

Needless to say, I will not advertise my rate for you via the list, as I
do not want to be bombarded by a similar number of requests such as
Gareth Morgan is apparently being harassed with at present.

Yours faithfully and consistently
Bill

Bye, bye .. I'm off sailing to the jazz concert . and don't even need to
put "the top down" to take advantage of today's fabulous weather . lol,
lol, lol, lol

PS: Lyndon, may I suggest that you may want to switch this particular
interaction between us off the list and directly to me . so you do not
embarrass yourself further .

I am seriously considering having my name removed from the forum, perhaps I will wish to be included at a later date. In all honesty, my reasons are the ongoing strife, bickering, politics, and seemingly endless discussions on very small matters that diviate so far from the original topic. My e-mail had dozens(100's) of messages, that were simply a waste of time to open, read and delete. I am most appreciative for the genuine opinions offered to my questions and do not want to see the forum become as 'gastapo' like as the 'miata' forum, but it seems we could stay a bit closer to the value of a site like this.I very much would like to stay with the forum, provided it can be focused on helpful and meaninful dialog, including humor. I have actually learned a lot off the site, it's just sifting through the mountains of sand to find one gem thats tiring. Whats your thoughts guys and gals am I off base?

Bill,
I'll say this really quietly so that you're not too embarrassed... You
responded to the wrong email, if you check the correct one you will see the
afore mentioned question marks. To make it a little clearer for you, they
look like this.. ' ? '. But don't worry, I won't tell anyone.
Quotation marks are the ones that you used incorrectly in your response,
around the word "understand". Usually used in pairs and it's generally
accepted that it's better if they match. They look like this..' " '.

Yes, I remember the Woodrow Wilson quote ( " The world is full of educated
derelicts") you referred to. I understand that he was shaving at the time.
And of course his 'world' was the USA at that time. So yes, maybe he had a
point.

Offline... sure. Always willing to try to help a fellow in obvious need. As
long as you don't get all grumpy again like the last time. Losing graciously
is nearly as important as winning. Builds character you know.

Here's a quote for you. "It is fascinating that the provocateur is so easily
provoked". Winston Churchill - 1944.

Lyndon.

Apologies to the list. Will take this offline.

THIS E-MAIL IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE MISUSE OF THIS SITE IT HAS NO
RELIVENCE TO MX5 AND ONLY TAKES UP OUR TIME. USE A PRIVATE CHAT ROOM FOR THIS BANTER AND LET US GET ON WITH MORE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE WHICH INTERIOR LIGHT BULB OUT PERFORMS A STOCK BULB.
