Mx5 for sale

Post by Ken McNoe » Tue Apr 11, 2006 2:14 pm

Hi everyone

Long time no hear!! After some thought I have decided to sell my car, so
if anyone is interested in a 1991 auto with a new roof (thanks Paul)
check out my listing
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... d=53280280 or call me on
either of the numbers below.

I could be tempted to swap it for a manual, but am thinking I might go
back to a hatch.

Thanks

Beautifully polished up for the photo, Ken - if you ever get withdrawal
symptoms, you can come and clean mine... Have passed the link on to a friend -
good luck.

big white trucky thing is still in the pipeline, unfortunately
Paramedics don't get to take them home LOL

Just miss the ability to carry things around!

if storage is your only problem you could look at the other options :
remove the spare wheel
get a luggage rack
get a tow bar

you haven't even had it a year!

Think I have decided to get rid of it now, was originally thinking that
I just wanted to change it for a manual. I have done a bit to it since
I brought it, with the new roof, services, new HT leads and gear kit,
etc, also brought a new few things from Paul that will go with it.

It's a great car but just not really practical for what I want any more.
=) and I have my eye on another car ...

Ken...for what its worth, my spare wheel lives in the garage (and a Tyre Pando
in the boot)
Went to Nelson and back 2 weekends back - 900k approx, several hundred
gearchanges each way , a zillion corners without slowing down, top down most
of the time - nothing would have made me made use my Granvia auto with its
dual climate air con. in preference!
Cheers...

I picked up a 92 Falcon on TradeMe for $1200 as a spare car - reminds me of my old Fairmont wot I traded for the MX5. I don't mind paying 2x insurance/rego/wof if I can go top down on the weekends!

Hey Ian, thanks for that. Don't get me wrong, I like my mx5; I just
think it is time for a change, unless I could find a manual around the
same price I guess. I am looking at a sporty hatch, and I miss being
able to take the dogs out easily.

Ken...
Did you say your partner has a Rav 4? Sounds like the ideal dog
conveyance...and I mean that in the nicest possible way)
The MX5 would be one of the few ways to take 20 yrs off your actual age, and a
Rover should add at least 10!

Thanks Ian but I have pretty much made up my mind. The mx5 is totally
impractical for an everyday car for me, as much as I love it.

There is a mx5 for sale here in palmy, is either 5 or 6 grand, I think you
could possibly work on the price, im sure it's a manual and it has a proper
homoligated half cage in it, unfortunately it is blue with large yellow
stripes but I think they are stickers so would come off easily enough, it is
an early model possibly an 89 or 90 model, and im sure it has been kept
well. I can investigate further for you if you want to keep that certain
"something" in your life that you are going to miss as soon as you are
mx5less.

Please doint go to the dark side (of the tin top)
