I'd rather be in a top-down MX5 towed by a horse than to be seen (alive
anyway) in something like a Honda Jazz for the sake of economy.
Seriously though, an MX5 whether top down or not and/or running the AC is
already a very economical machine. It's yet another bonus feature of a very
intelligent design.

Well I own an MX5 AND a Honda Jazz and I can assure you it's a lot easier to
carry large objects in the Jazz. Also easier to carry 4 people when you need
to.
Yes, it is also a lot more economical.
No, it isn't as much fun to drive, or as comfortable.
