Why put foam tape in the catches? why not close them even when the roof is
down?

Even when the catches are closed (roof down) they seemed to have a small
amount of play, the piece of foam killed quite an annoying rattle that took
me a while to find as it was surprisingly loud. Maybe it's because mine is
an 89 and the catches are worn.
