This is for car enthusiasts, rather than specifically MX5 types, but
perhaps one of you can solve my frustration.
Last night, Ann received a catalogue from Ezi-Buy, showing their
collection for men.
Normally, this would be of no interest to me whatsoever, but the model
on the front was leaning up against a rather nice cream coloured
convertible.
From what you can see of it, it appears to be of 60-ish vintage, with
pressed wheels and hub caps and it has a British look about it, the only
badge one can see says "Speedster". It seems to be an expensive car,
rather than something mass produced
I cannot identify it, and it is driving me mad.
Anybody got any ideas?
Eric

I would go for a 1957 (or thereabout) Porsche Speedster. The catalogue
picture on the Ezi-Buy website is very low definition though so a bit of a
guess.

Nope - you're all wrong
It's a 'kit' copy of the 356 spider (ok a really sad Porsche fan here).
I am sure that the wipers are wrong for one of the originals.
There are a number of really good kits on the market for this and you
can still spend many, many thousands on a good one. Still far cheaper
than buying an original - they are getting into small house price
region.

Sorry Chris. I KNOW it's a 356 Porche. I phoned Ezibuy and asked them. The advertising exec filled me in. Thought I might as well go to the source!

Oops - I stand correct (and change my typing to 365 not 356). Sorry!
I still think the wipers are funny (but that's just me).
Here are some nice pics of one for sale. A snip at 125k USD.
