NA NB Interior Swap Wiring Problem

Post by Angreal » Tue Dec 27, 2011 2:10 am

Well I've managed to hit a snag while doing the NA NB interior swap. After I got the NB dash in and connected all the wires back up, my car doesn't start and when I reconnect the battery the battery the handbrake and battery lights light up.

Tomorrow I'll have to go back through all my wiring to make sure I've connected everything up properly but does anyone have any advice on where I should focus my attention?

Thanks.

I ended up mixing the wiper plug with the ignition plug. Apparently working on a car at 2am is not ideal

At least your front screen would be cleaned everytime you started the car...

I'd be very interested to see how this has come along. Don't suppose you have any photos to share?

I've got the dashboard in but I haven't gotten around to wiring up anything yet. I'll do the aircon today.

The only photos I have at the moment are of when everything had been pulled out before I decided to tidy up all the wiring from the alarm and other things that have been installed over the years. I will put photos up of the completed product once I've got everything working again before doing the door panels.

If anyone knows what that Pioneer thing is in one of the photos I'd be very interested to know. In the ended I just taped all the wires up and hid it away somewhere seeing as I had no idea what it was but it was still attached to the new stereo for some reason. I guess it has something to do with either the headrest speakers or the electric aerial.

Ah sorry I didn't know what it was so I just taped it up with electrical tape and hid it behind everything and then taped everything some more. Needless to say, there is a lot of electrical tape in my car now 8)
