Hi again - i have an electrical earth strap? that i'm sure went between the engine or bell housing to the chassis somewhere at the rear of the engine.
Its about 150mm long with a crimped eyelet at one end and the same at the other end but with a bent tag.Hope the pic uploads!
Also should i be concerned about being able to plug the wires either way round to connectors coming out of the gearbox back-up sensor?
This is the same fo two other wires above the gearbox.Mazda seem to polarize most of their connectors to ensure correct re-fitment!
Been looking at some diagrams to no avail so far.

that earth strap is pretty important goes from the side if the head to the chassis rail by the fire wall on the passenger side
actually that earth is VERY important!
reverse sender wiring doesnt matter what way arround you have it
