Hi,
Anyone out there removed a retractable aerial (maybe from a track car?) that has a good mast. Mine has been squashed at the bottom and wont fully retract .
Pulled it out and ordered a new replacement from North Shore Mazda...and they ordered the wrong one. Now they tell me the correct one will be over $80!!!! I don't want the goldplated version but that seems to be all they have on offer
If anyone knows of one available secondhand- or somebody who has wrecked an MX5 I'd like to know coz I sure won't be paying over $80 for a new one.

Replacement masts for many vehicles are around that price and often much
more. My Nissan Terrano mast cost $120.00!!

Hi Grant,
I don't doubt it - just I am too mean to pay that sort of price. I'd rather try for a second hand one first. Was probably more hacked off that, after going over to collect it so I could sort it this weekend while I had some time, they had the wrong one - now it will be at least another week before I get it. My weekends are full enough as it is so it could be even longer before I have the time to fix it.
If MX5 Mart have one I can get my wife to collect it as she will be in Hamilton every day next week
