NA Minilites not fitting on hubs

Post by kiwi73 » Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:50 pm

Hi

My NA came with 15 inch rims. I tried to put the standard minilites back onto night. No joy. If this makes any sense...the center of hub is larger than the hole in the minilite as such the wheel will not fit flush on hub.

Is it possible someone has changed the rotors or are they same NA/NB

Many thanks
Paul

Standard Minilites? MX-5s never came standard with Minilite wheels. I think that may be your problem, you've got non-standard wheels with too small a center bore.

Unless you mean the factory "daisy" wheels, in which case you've obviously got non-standard hubs, which sounds bizarre. Measure your hub diameter, it should be ~54.1mm I believe is standard.

Yes they are the factory daisy wheels. Checked the hub 66mm. Go figure! Are the NB rotors any different than the NA?

Thanks

Hi..When you removed the wheels did you take of the wheel spacers or are they still stuck on the hubs. Hope this helps

sounds to me like the adaptor ring for your after market wheels is stuck on the hub .

Yes you'd be right. Wheel centering spacer was same colour as hub. Easily popped off.

Many thanks cheers
