Been searching around but can't seem to find an answer. Bought a set of nb struts with lowered springs off tardme for my NA . Missed the bit where the front top hats were missing.
Don't want to go much lower than stock, maybe an 45mm or so, just thought they'd be better than my worn out shocks.
So can I use these with all NA top hats, lose the lowering then I guess. Mix and match, ie NA top hats on front and nb on back, something tells me that may be dodgy and look silly. Or just find a pair on nb hats to suit? Where do I get them? Cheers in advance!

Yeah they will fit. I would be surprised if you got 45mm lower with lowering springs though.

So go with the NA tops?

Try the na tops first as you have them. Then if they are to high get the nb tops

Are top hats like a standard replaceable part from a suspension place or is it time to go hunting?

They are fairly cheap from memory... You should be able to find them online.

Fits: 1999-2005 Miata
I'm pretty sure quite a few parts for the NA/NB have a part number starting with NC

$25 each from the local Mazda dealer. The bushes are a seperate item, I did a fatcat style setup so didn't need the factory ones.

Can you tell us what your setup is? i'd like to do a fatcat style setup without the fatcat price.
did you use na strutts with nb top hat metal and a custom bumpstop?

finally got around to it today, had a few busy weeks... so rears are in (fronts probably tomorrow) and they are definitely lower but its more that they have less mileage on them than my old ones
and they're the sports bilsteins.
Probably 15-20 mm lower with my sophisticated fist-o-meter between tyre and wheel arch... anyway, chuffed. Did a skid.
Will go for a hoon on sunday in a non-residential area and check them out further.
