Lowering springs on NA
Hi guys,
I just bought my first mx-5 and I'm changing bits and pieces to make it a fun reliable daily.
It's sitting on KYB g shocks and Cobra lowering springs which I just find it too low- and I don't know if it's meant to be like this, but the front is much lower than the rear.
Since the front tyres are rubbing against front guards, I'm looking for options to fix this.
I think I'll get a new set of springs but just don't know what to go for. Would stock springs make it look like a monster truck?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a set of stock springs out of my NA if you want em.
I wouldn't say stock springs look 'monster truck' (however if that is the look you want Furai has some experience) but it will be a fair difference from your Cobra's.
Mine with stock springs:

To be honest the Tein's I replaced them with are pretty much the same height but heaps firmer! So you need to take into account two things, the height you want and the firmness of the ride you want...

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Stock springs are ... not that firm but it is a mx5 so it's not like a squishy wallowy marshmallow either.
If it was my wife's daily driver(and she's not a slow driver) she would keep in the stock springs but if you want to raise it a little but keep the firm ride your used to, then i would recommend Tein's. (just my opinion
