Bumpstops for NA

I have fitted new shocks and lowered springs and are putting in new bumpstops they are not standard and can be trimmed to size. My question is appox what lenght should they be? I was thinking about 50mm from what I have read but any advise would be great...oh yeah I have NB top hats fitted so has a little more travel than a stock NA.
