Gidday, after being mx5 less for 5 years ( working in OZ) we are returning to N.Z. We have bought a green 97 vr ltd. it was a toss up between this one.
and a merlot one off trademe for the same $$, anyway I am not happy with the wheels that come standard, 14.5 lb seems heavy for a 15x6", before we left I had a set of Ray engineering rims on our "90
but they seem rare as hens teeth, what is another good lightweight option please.
Also it looks like the shocks are Bilsteins, are they adjustable and able to be rebuilt and are they still the best choice?

There are often a few sets of various Rays etc around on trademe. Enkeis are easier to find at a sensible price and also tend to be pretty light.

ET38 offset should be fine, I had ET35 on some previous Enkeis and you could feel a very slight difference in scrub just before full lock when manoevring, didn't make a noticeable difference at higher speeds. Remember some factory MX5 15"s were ET38-40, it was the original 14"s that were ET45.

hi i have my mazdaspeed wheels for sale in the classified section you can have them abit cheaper than whats on them come check them out and haggle if you like, up to you
or you could always get a set of 6ul's in from the US

Need to know what weight they are, not to sure on the damage they have had. are they an inherently weak rim?

How about a set of 15" NB alloys,Look good and are light with the perfect offset ?.
I have a set on a NB at work (Mazline partsworld)

i think they were just abused before i got them they have been fine since the repairs

Could you weigh them please I would like to loose 3 lb per rim, also do you have the centre caps?
