My understanding is for car parts, it's GST on customs value + customs fees (~$40).

I've used these for looking up OE part numbers. While they are for the US models, most should be applicable.

The OE part number for a 1990 is 0810-17-122 "Plug, magnet". Sadly doesn't give any clues about the thread etc.

Could always do what the boys at MCM did for a header for your turbo, total DIY.
I imagine for an N/A car you'd have to spend good money to match/exceed the OE extractors. I'd be inclined just to get replacement OE extractors, or some second hand aftermarket ones.

But compressing the air heats it significantly, hence why an intercooler is necessary. Variation in intake temperature probably has no [significant] effect on temperature at the throttle body.

I think they've all got their charms. I think you only see people with grey hair driving NCs because they are still all quite expensive. I'd definitely have one, while they are a bit heavier, they are also a bit more powerful.

I got a tub of Copper-eze from Repco for under $25. It's pretty useful to have around although it's probably more than I'll ever need.

NGK specifically says not to use anti-seize on their plugs, generally not necessary on plugs that have a shiny metal coating on the threads. Anti-seize can lead to over-torquing them. I didn't use anti seize. I did use a torque wrench. Reference: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/pdf/TB-0630111antisieze....

When using the space saver with an LSD, you're supposed to take a wheel off the front, put the space saver on there, then put the front wheel on the back.

I figure I can call a tow truck or phone a friend :)

You'll need the entire diff carrier assembly from a 1.8, as well as the rear alloy housing. http://i.imgur.com/Dc1l2fa.png If you just have the differential (#22 in the diagram), then you'll need to get the rest of that stuff from somewhere, as the 1.6 rear isn't compatible. Setting up the diff is g...

What tyres were you using? My car was really unsatisfying to drive in the wet at Hampton Downs but tyres did make a big difference.

I reckon it's probably not the lack of power causing issues, but the Torsen won't let you put all the power to the ground in the wet.

The rubber bushes need to be pressed in with a lot of force, are the new polyurethane diff bushes hard to install in a home workshop? My car gets a bit of gear whine in 5th, but other than that both my Torsen diffs are pretty quiet. Is it possible that the PPF frame isn't aligned properly and it's p...

The factory hose clamps can be a pain in the arse to slip in behind the engine. I had some replacements on hand, I think I ended up using them because I couldn't get any of the pliers I had into the tight spaces.

I hope they run a wider variety of courses this year -- a new courses each event or session would be good.
