This is where the water appears to enters where finger pointing to. I am assuming that the rail is behind the elliptical shaped rubber at bottom of screen. Have not remove these components yet so not sure. There feels like someone may have applied a sealant at some stage. Will remove screen to confi...

Rain rails
Ha Ha. Cheers for that. Sometimes a little knowledge worse than no knowledge. Bloody English language with multiple meanings.
I would need a few Bourbons to fit those where I need them. Would not be pretty. Cheers MrGrey. I'll continue back at my leaking cockpit thread.

Carbon Miata Rain Rail
It would appear that my issue is a damaged rain rail for an NA. Do you know the price for the CM version. I will probably borrow a shed this weekend and remove mine for proper evaluation. Furher to my carpet lifting and rubber inspections I can now see water coming through between window and metal w...

Gearbox turret
Sweeto. Had put 90 mls in but had trouble getting stick back in. I think the plastic collar was slightly binding up instead of locating. It's back together and HEAPS smoother. Amazing what a bourbon can do if something not ready to locate when you want it to. Going to leave gearbox oil till I can us...

Gearbox turret oil
I'm changing fluids at moment. Have removed gear stick as per miata instructions. Can not see any oil in there. Have inserted approx 90 mls of oil. This has filled the round hole where the gear stick locates into. The miata pictures say to either insert 90cc or till it is full.... My query is if it ...

Have pulled bAck passenger side carpet. Removed ECU brackets. Only one fixing sheared off. Luckily it's one mounted on the rail so will be able to sort that easily enough... Buy a replacement and a false floor pan at same time. Too much brown cancer on the metal for my liking. Dried floor with heate...

Keys in boot
I always cable tie a spare key under the chassis somewhere. Locked keys in Fairmont when at a party once and came out and found an amateur trying to open door with a coat hanger. Asked him what he doing and he said someone locked keys in and he trying to get them out. He must have overheard me or fr...

Water leak
Thanks SLYDIT. The drain I was referring to is the ones beside seatbelt anchor point. The drain is clear and freely flows when I purge water through it. The front lip of the rectangular catchment area where the drain hole is located is only about 15 mm high. The drain hole is at the rear of this spa...

Apologies in advance if I'm asking about a topic already on this site. My computer is as slow as an old 386 running on DOS so takes forever to trawl through previous posts. I'm not familiar with the bolts YET as I have only had to sit in my seat or dry it from water leak. You may be able to hold with some locking vice grips. If you need to weld a nut on a mig will adhere quicker and with less heat disappationthan an arc welder. Plenty of wet rags around, carpets pulled ...

Cheers for input Mr Grey I too not interested in forking out plenty of dollars on sounds. I'm twice the age of the car and went down that track of stereo purchases in the eighties. My ears have suffered as a result of over use of amps and EQ's. I am looking at three sets for less than a hand...
