Non standard front plate
Its one of those things... put on a smaller stick-on and then take the risk. Ours was on for 7 years before my recent incident, and that was only because I was doing 64 in a 50k area (on State Highway One mind you). If I hadn't been pulled over for that I wouldn't have had the issue with the licence...

Hi Pete,
Actually I did have the original in the boot, and it may have helped with the
compliance offer. Although he took my word it was there and didn't look.

Just a followup on my recent infringement notice. This stated: "Failing to display a front reg plate (authorised). Compliance Offered 14 days." I went to the local Community Police Station (Centre?) and had the only person there note the correctly fitted plate. She was obviously not a "sworn" member...

Hi Carl, For -3dB approx at 3kHz you need a series capacitor of 13uF. I'd use a 10uF cap as none of this is hugely critical. Theoretically that will give you a 3dB point of about 3,800Hz with 4 Ohms. The 4 Ohms is only a nominal figure anyway, and its better to err on the high side frequency-wise th...

Thanks, mine is a 93 4.1:1 7 Torsen. Im after the 4.3. The solomiata is very
informative but doesnt specifically say that they are interchangeable with
the Mazda item.
I have a 1.8 torsen in my 1991 car. I didn't worry about the changed diff
ratio, any reason why you want to change it?

I went to Mazda here in Wellington to order a set of the small plastic plugs that cover screwheads in the strip of black plastic trim along the bottom of the windscreen. After about 7 years the law finally picked on me yesterday. It was my own fault as I was doing 64k in a 50k area (through Pukerua Bay on SH1 for those in Wellington) and I got pulled over. However I had a conversation with the cop about the stick on plate, and although he issued me with a notice for...

Hi Ross, Just the fact that they were all green stickered. And the green stickers say something like "Faulty Vehicle..." (Perhaps someone can fill in the detail). This means, as I understand it, that they were taken off the road for something like having an exhaust that was too loud. Just like that ...
