I have RE002s all around on my car- Really good tyre, especially in the wet. I had Toyo Proxes on my MR2 turbo and didn't like their wet performance.

I just got 2 new RE002's for about $170 each fitted last week Ring around!

Haha, apparently if a replacement engine only has 20 000 k on the clock, the rest of the body, suspension, drive train, interior, ancillaries etc etc magically get reset to 20 000 k too! Sweet!

What causes springs to droop/uneven ride height? I have mazda speed springs on Bilstein shocks. At the back, the ride height is uneven - I can fit about three fingers between the top of the tyre and the guard on the left side, whereas I can fit two fingers on the right side (when I'm not in the car ...

Be careful also that US market cars are likely different than the JDM counterparts so the Bilsteins may, in fact, be different even if they appear the same.

If not stainless ex manifold, then what and where from?

My stainless steel exhaust manifold is cracked at the weld on the number three cylinder. I've already had it welded up once and I realised it would likely crack again. There are some SS headers on trademe but they'll likely suffer the same fate- What other options are out there that are fairly cost ...

I mostly treat vaping like smoking, and I don't have a problem vaping with the smokers, either. I'm lucky, I guess, that the smell of smoke doesn't bother me. Sure, I smell it more than I used to, but I'm okay with it. It's nice when there are other vapers out there, so we can talk e-cig. http://3.b...

Dem's the rules (for play day on track anyway)....granted, if someone is clearly pulling to the side on a corner then you can pass.

That's true but it takes less than a minute of driving near a Muppet to determine who they are and back off. Just a reminder, track days aren't race days. There is no passing under brakes or around corners etc. Anyway, the preference seems to be a weekend (i.e. Playday on track event) at HD rather t...

Re: Trackday Roll protection is a sore point at Trackdays, as most won't let a softtop or even a hardtop MX5 race around the track. I can bring a spare proper bolt in Rollbar if someone needs to borrow one just for the day. Only takes around half an hour to fit and is Trackday approved. Of course I...

The 100th Annual MX5 Trackday event.

Trackdays are a great safe way to learn how to drive your MX5 at it's limits without fear of the fuzz or someone coming the other way- You don't need to worry about having the fastest car or not having experience driving on a track- You just go as fast or as slow as you desire. 'TeamJelly' has propo...

I agree it should require at least a few posts before someone can sell...not too many that it becomes a genuine hindrance but enough to ensure that there is some level of trust between the buyer and seller (Say 5?) Not having a prior post requirement could leave this community vulnerable to the pass...

I agree about the leather, especially with MX5 seats in the NA as they don't have the biggest side bolsters.

I'd recommend an alcantara type fabric if you are getting them recovered! It's a grippy synthetic leather, great for extra support.
