No speakers, not exactly much of a loss as when the tops down I want to hear the engine ;) With the top up, I hear the stereo fine :) As for rollover protection, unsure, I'd imagine they have to provide a certain amount of shoddy protection just like the MX5 seats. Just don't kid yourself that mx5 s...

The spare will get super dirty there and you'll probably forget to check the pressure. Having just used my space saver yesterday, I can say that I forgot to check the pressure with it in the boot anyway. Didn't matter as its solid.... :D I rooted my tyre by driving on it flat anyway so my own fault...

Also washed it and took my little brother across a carpark in it.
Spookily, my central locking has started working again with the new battery, the old one must have been well shagged.

Picked up a pair of S2000 seats to replace my worn/cracked tan leather seats. Just squeezed two in the passenger side with a bit of a hump in the soft top  This weekends job maybe, make some brackets or transfer the seatpans from old seats to S2000 seats :D Hoping for this sort of look with the...

cried softly into my empty beer fund after paying out 160 bucks to bandits on sunday for a new battery and today for having to spend 200 bucks on a new tyre :( Spent an hour and a quarter getting my passenger seat out. 3 bolts out in 2 mins, all the time spent on the last including chisels and dremm...

Yeah did it to my 1800 a few years back, never had to change it so can't comment on that.

As posted elsewhere, I ditched my spare a few days ago in my brg, got a flat last night. Gutted, drove home on it, about 3km so it'll be wrecked. Going to move the spare underneath on this one I reckon.

Got the first flat tyre in at least 10 years, obviously 2 days after taking the spare out to fit something big in the trunk. :(

Are top hats like a standard replaceable part from a suspension place or is it time to go hunting?

Nb suspension in NA

Been searching around but can't seem to find an answer. Bought a set of nb struts with lowered springs off tardme for my NA . Missed the bit where the front top hats were missing. Don't want to go much lower than stock, maybe an 45mm or so, just thought they'd be better than my worn out shocks. So c...

I own more guitars than good sense but to be fair this is only about half the gear I had a couple of years ago. Sadly my main amp The Bogner Stack is purely for small bedroom use as there is no way that fits in the mx5. If I run it through a 2x12 it looks a bit silly  Guitars I currently have G...

Other voices more experienced than mine have suggested not to clearcoat, so I haven't. Molly???? Seriously bang some clearcoat on them and ignore what he says, he's as dumb as a box of frogs. Whats easier if they get chipped - repainting the whole wheels or re-clear coating. Looking awesome...

I've been using toyo proxies for the last couple of cars, they hold well and wear better than the bridgestones I had prior. Good value and safety.

Looking sweet james ;) don't listen about the hard top, I'm onto my fourth mx5 and I've never bothered with one yet. Even in the winter I want to drop the top, sometimes while I'm sat at the lights. If it rains, I can put it up with one hand at the next set of lights lol. Get some daylight running L...

Went out and drove a couple today. Probably not ideal diff thread material but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to live with the short gearbox. Even going up and down the road is fun in these things. No cup holders though. :? Also where's the fuel light? Bluey The MX5 has a cupholder. I just wedg...
