NICE alloys
Odd how most wheels are now 5 stud or the multi fit, which I am not so fond of. Does anyone know of a website where you can do a virtual test fit of mags on different cars to see what they look like on the car? I recall one ages ago where you could pick the car and colour and then trial a full range...

There is also a thin cable that runs through all the way along the edge of the soft top, if this cable is broken it loses it's tension along the edge and the rubber does not push against the window as well. These cables often break, in fact I'd say there are a lot of broken ones and most people don'...

It turns out the Leyland P76 came out in 1973 and had the 4.4L Rover V8, I
always thought it was a different engine.

NB Door speakers
Hi Grant, Mine is not the Bose system, I assume they both have the same door panel cut-out. Mine have a plastic adapter so they can use the 5x7 series, just about everyone makes them. I'll have to pull the door off again and confirm the cut-out size, must be 8" although the plastic adapter is under8...

Yeah I saw the SU's too, the Brits just love them. Most likely a Rover or
P76 engine, I think that was the first alloy block V8 in the UK.

Anyone upgraded their NB door speakers? There seem to be a lot of direct 5x7/6x8 replacements her in NZ. But looking on USA forums a lot of guys used a Clearwater brand 8" (Too expensive to bring here). An 8" would have to be really shallow. You can also get 8" to 6.5" adapters, but again not here. ...

Ok, I give up the turbo idea for now, because I'm scared What if I buy a 1.6 Engine, and rebuild it, and sell it. Would I get my money back(not including labour)? Nope, IMHO maybe half of what you spend and forget about the labour. At the same time it's really rewarding to do something yourself, but...

I am trying to hold 12 psi but Im just spiking 12 quickly and tapering back to about 8. I have tried sourcing the wastegate signal from just before my throttle body as I had heard this helps but its no better. The Greddy kit TD04 comes with a 5.5psi wastegate spring, so like you say I am working in...

After turbo'ing mine I now wish I have supercharged it instead. The power is great but ruins the driving pleasure of the MX5 in my opinion. I have to agree in some ways, the power of a turBO can be way more exciting but much harder to control on corners, where as a supercharger is still way better ...

How to Rebuild a 1600cc Mx5 Engine?
My 2 cents, no point in rebuilding an engine unless you have a goal to achieve, like a specific car you want to upgrade. Like building a strong MX5 engine for turbo charging, it's not going to cost much more in parts and you'll end up with an engine with lots of potential. Rebuild or recondition is ...

Anyone using a Greedy emanage?
But the emanage will be faster :) On the USA Miata forums a lot of guys are now using the Megasquirt. I have an emanage and if I did it again I'd go the Megasquirt way as it has so many more options and outputs. The emanage is a little outdated in features. Great resource http://www.miataturbo.net/f...

I have to agree with Euen on that one, get an 1800 NA if you can, a good diff choice might be one of these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Mazda/Diffs-axles/auction-256473808.htm I have one in mine and they are virtually locked but OK on road too. Good choice, but most do not have an LSD, inside the drivers door there should be an info sticker, some models do have an LSD and other club members may be able to tell you what to look for. Used diff heads see to run from $350 for a torsen to $600 for a clutch type (both used) , but to have them se...

And those figures do not take into account all the people who would sustained damage under $750 worth who would not have made a claim to retain their no-claims discount. And I think this would be a huge majority, if you included bumper damage you could probably up the figures by 300% and door damage...

That's good news Stevo. I remember having some cheap leads on an old Cortina (anyone remember those..lol) lifting the bonnet at night was like a fireworks show from all the electrical leaks. My daily driver fuel question
From Wiki In Australia, toluene has been found to have been illegally combined with petrol in fuel outlets for sale as standard vehicular fuel. Toluene attracts no fuel excise, while other fuels are taxed at over 40%, so fuel suppliers are able to profit from substituting the cheaper toluene for pet...

I object strongly to intrusion of freedom by some so-called anti "boy racer" legislation, in theory if I choose to drive up Moorehouse Ave and back, I could be charged under "anti-boy racer laws".
