$2,400 for a clutch job??? YOU MUST BE JOKING!!

My wife has a 1995 318ti and with what we have had to spend just to keep it on the road in the last 6 mnths, we could have bought a late model MX5. I would not recommend a BMW to even my worst enemy !!! Sorry Eric, but having owned 10 MX5's that have not cost me anything to keep on the road apart f...

Hi Eric, I have found giving it a realy good clean with CRC or WD-40 or similar, then retracting it fully(even if you have to push it the last bit) several times can fix it. It picks up a lot of dust etc when up which is the carried down into the mechanisim when it is retracted. Cheers. From ibeards...

Hi Terry, couple of points, we had to travel 4 kilometers in an unbroken convoy not just park up at an event somewhere, every car had to be verified by drivers name, registration and contact details, and we were first to take the initiative to lodge with Guinness Book of records. It is my understanding that the agency that handled the paper work with
Guiness are working on each of the registered participants (that the cars that
completed the form and put it in the box at the event) receiving an
acknowledgement of somesort.

Retro fit ABS to 5?

Hi Dez, a lot more involved than just the block under the bonnet. Each wheel
has to have the required sensors and sending units, different axles etc, I
would imagine it would be a lot chaeper just to find an MX5 with it already
fitted.
