Not my choice of colour personally, I feel gender challenged enough in a red one.

Agreed. Looks like you drove smoothly with nice lines too, well to my untrained eye anyway.

We tend to be a bit more mellow down here in the south.

Just got back from a 2700km road trip, all done with roof off! We passed this guy while on the scenic route south from Arthurs Pass, miles from anywhere. You can see our car reflected in his paintwork. Sorry about the quality, taken with my phone. http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad352/yflihi/WP_2...

Interesting thing is that after I started the thread I did an oil change to Magnatec and the pressure went right back to normal, even though the level was good previously. So see how it is after you change oil.

I'm going exactly the same way with mine. Are you getting any conflict with the water outlet low on the block?

Pretty sure the oil pressure is only a dummy on the later models. Wildly inaccurate on the NA though, I think it's not much more than a yes/no.

Any ideas for gauge locations?

I'm going the turbo route this year and need to put in AFR and boost gauges. I don't want to fill the vents, we need our heaters too much down here. The only other place I can see is down low below the heater controls, which is kind of out of sight, so looking for ideas. Anyone got any pics of gauge...

The most expensive WOF is the one that is cheap and overlooks something that ends up breaking and writing off your car/killing you.

I'm kind of particular about my cars, I won't take them to just anyone, and I always think a WOF may be cheap insurance.

Maybe they just say further downstream for turbos? I know innovate say at least 8 inches from the turbo and as far as possible before the cat. My standard o2 sensor is very close to the head on the no. 4 pipe of the extractors so will only be working on one cylinder anyway.

As I understand it you want to put it further downstream than the original sensor, so it will replace it electrically but in a different location.

I watched "Rush" last night...

Couldn't sleep so I put it on. Quite a good movie about the rivalry between James Hunt and Nikki Lauda back in the 70s. Not a lot of driving in it but what there was was better than the F&F Hollywood style. I kept expecting Hemsworth to wield a big hammer though, probably because I watched Avengers ...

sadly a standard size cubbyhole thingy is to small and a lot of people fillthe 20mm gap with rubber or a small piece of wood (painted). How good are your fabrication skills? if it was my car, I would make one myself out of plastic or timber (plastic if I could find a suitably sized plastic containe...

In my last job I was a road corridor mgr for a local council and handled situations like this. Sorry to say you'll probably be wasting your time.
