The "boots" incorporate the bump stops - which are a vital (and warrantable) part of the suspension - so you can't go without them! Have a look at http://www.virkki.com/jyri/miata/bumps.html and you will find out more than you want to know about the subject. I've got 2 unused ones in the garage - ca...

Yes, the quality is very good. Each "intersection" in the mesh is crimped together so it doesn't flop around, and it has a rubber edging so doesn't scratch paintwork. Took about 1/2 an hour to fit with the help of some washing up liquid. It's been on the car for about a year now, still looks new. I ...

Need fast road brake pads..suggestions..
I used Porterfield RS4 pads (from Flyin' Miata) on Brembo drilled/slotted rotors (from Moss - Miata Mania http://www.miatamania.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=36133). The rotors were on special (this was a couple of years ago) at around USD50 each. I've just looked they're USD129/pair at th...

MX5 PADS AND BRAKE FADE
Braided brake lines made a big difference to pedal feel, but fell foul of WOF regulations. For a while they were banned completely, then became OK if DOT or SAE marked to approved standard and designed specifically for the car. They need to have the DOT/SAE mark permanently attached (a stuck on labe...

Bloody tappets again!
If I may stake a claim for chronological credibility here - I bought my first MX5 brand new in January 1990. The tappets rattled on start up from day-one. Mazda service staff said "they all do that sir" (I think they had previously worked for British Leyland). Don't worry about it, they all do it. A...

They're really dear to buy from here; put "Lockwood grille" into Google and
you'll find lots of people selling them. Ours came off eBay, less than half
price. Exceptional quality too.
