Just had a look at the slider pins and they seem fine, but I bought some Penrite Copper grease anyway as I may as well do them while its apart. It turns out that the outside pad has been wearing at an angle. The small metal piece on the edge of the pad that slides against the small metal pieces on t...

Front right brake sticks intermittently

So my brake likes to stay engaged slightly after I've applied a normal amount of pressure to the brakes. When I leave the car off for a short while, it will 'unstick' and be back to normal. Also, I find that if I brake hard a few times in rapid succession it will unstick itself. Does this problem so...

Yeah in rush hour traffic I tend to leave a bigger gap in front of me so I can keep rolling forwards while the cars ahead of me are stopping and starting all the time. By the time the gap has closed the cars in front will have hopefully started moving again. It makes it smoother for the few cars beh...

Mine slid rearward with a small amount of force to break the years of road grime, then I just had to tilt and pull them out. No screwdriver needed.

I got mine a while ago off a site that sells them as christmas tree decorations. They were being sold for half the price and are exactly the same apart from having a little hole tab that I just cut off.

I'm planning to go full pixar-spec and make some teeth for the grill area.

Insurance companies are fucking wankers. So are police. The people who make the decisions are, not the organisations as a whole. The police just do as they are told, and make decisions based on the extent of their training. They have to put up with a lot of shit other than just pulling us over beca...

anything less than perfect tarmac I assume by this you mean 95% of NZ roads. speaking of which, last time I was down Wellington, I was surprised how good the roads where in the section that links the beehive with the airport.... go figure, huh? The bus depot is just around the corner from the beehi...

Speaking of air filter oil, which is the best to use for a foam panel filter? Its a Jackson Racing one so they don't sell their product over here.

I have a huge list of things that I want to get done, but the only list of completed/installed mods that I have is the garage section on this site. I keep receipts for any major work done, but I try to do most things myself.

A wish list (like the thread here) would be a cool idea to implement.

Car theives will only use this as a shopping list if you are a muppet by throwing on a lisence plate and/or details on where you are specifically located. Speaking of mods and showing off your car here kinda makes it a shopping list too in a way. ^.^ Exactly. Its no different from browsing the gara...

They were there since I've had the car, but I forget about them when its hardly ever sunny and the cars always dirty during the winter. With the right gear they shouldn't be too hard to get rid of.

Decided to give it a wash since it was sunny...but now I can see swirl marks :(. Time to buy a polisher and get to work with a few stages of pads and compounds.

Forgot to take a before photo, and my photography skills are average for this one, but this was after one spray down of simple green and a hose off. Minimal scrubbing. It definitely loosened off the surface dirt and grime, but there's still quite a bit there. Next time I'll get right in there with a...
