Yup, you're onto it Brownie. Both panelbeaters I went to (sprsta's shop was one of them) said the same thing, and yes, it's the panels repaired by a previous owner that are giving me grief. I guess I can't complain, most cars this age are cracking and peeling already. Still hurts though, I can't jus...
Anyone know what could have caused this? It rained while I was out on Wednesday, so I had to put the cover on a wet car. No big deal, its a quality breathable one that wicks the moisture off really quickly. Then when I took the cover off last night to go out, I was met by this nightmare, big oxidize...

I thought the heater hose was reasonable from Mazda. I paid about $30 for the genuine article, which compares with $45 for something close from Repco  , or $13 for a length twice as long as I needed from Supercheap auto, half of which is currently in the car and working fine. Anyone needs the...
I think as long as you're not asking for it, i.e. valuables left in sight, that's the main thing. I can't afford an alarm yet, but I minimise my risk by never leaving anything in the car. Glovebox and console are left empty and open - that's all the storage space you get in an NA!
Hey guys, I just got a stock exhaust system (rear half) from Ross, because mine has a massive kink in it, courtesy of a previous owner. Problem is, at some stage the stock cat was replaced with a resonator and the exhaust welded where it would normally bolt together, so I have no way of putting the ...
Thanks everybody! I found a couple pinholes exactly where expected, and have a temporary heater hose installed while I wait for the correct one from Mazda. We've drained, flushed, and refilled the thing with the correct ratio of anti-freeze, but strangely the heater doesn't work now? The coolant is ...
I didn't even get to the motorway this morning, when steam started to curl around the edges of my bonnet. It smelt sweet like antifreeze, which I thought odd, because the engine was barely warm. Couldn't be the radiator surely? A quick inspection revealed fluid dripping onto the exhaust from one of ...
Yeah I saw that, it looks great!
I'm going to try bolt my lip on today if I ever get off this computer LOL! Such a cow to access the bolts without wheelramps though, good thing I'm skinny...

The damp is less of an issue on my hot, windy concrete driveway. On the odd occasion, I've had to put the cover on wet due to my leaky window seals. It usually breathes dry within hours, and better a humid car than one with puddles of water inside. Might have to try dry it first come winter though.....
Forgive me for sounding like a Dutchman, but if its just around the house I'm sure a car cover will achieve much better results for a fraction of the price...
