Thats a point i should point out that yes I am running 16deg but its not a 'factory' engine. It was tuned set up like it is and i have re-mapped ecu, different cams and a ported / polished head. I also only run BP 98 as that was the car was tuned for.

I've spent all day today at the track and found the easiest way to get it loose was just weight transfer and a big clutch kick

I've found with timing advanced to 14deg + and a decent filter exhaust setup i've got enough power to drift ok. In the wet its alot easier obviously just in the dry you need more speed.

not the fastest no...coolest yes! haha. Im with you mate. I've got a dedicated drift car in an R32 Skyline and the MX5 is my daily driver. However the 5 is WAY more fun to drive and since drifting on private roads with my 5 my skill level has shot up when it comes back to the skyline. The only thin...

I have my timing set to 16 at the moment, only runs on 98 and it goes nuts. My mate has a non-turbo S15 Silvia (165hp) and I can beat him all day long

Yea i have them in the rear. When i put them in the car they actually increased ride height, however when they settled i dropped around 25mm.

They are nice and stiff and I would certainly recommend them.

Is my car an ex club car?

Hey guys, After doing my engine swap this weekend I have noticed a few bits and pieces that make my car a bit special. Just seems like previous owners have been enthusiasts. Car Jam Link: http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=DKP231 The reason I ask is that I found it has a lightweight flywheel, exedy ...

So the engine is now in the car. Started first time, it sounds alot different from the original engine however I presume this is something to do with the cams. Did another compression test and got 160psi on 1 & 4 and 155 on 2 & 3. Its way more responsive and from a quick drive up the street and back...

Hey guys, Just thought you may like to know I've just purchased the engine in question, I can confirm after taking it apart that it is in fact in good condition. Compression test shows 153psi on all 4 cylinders. Had to swap the sumps over between my NA motor and this new one as it's obviously been t...

I want to be able to do practice days at the track for whenever the Skyline is off the road (like now for examp...

NA6 LSD's

Hello all, Im looking at picking up an NA6 in the next couple of weeks and I have a few questions when it comes to diff's. Do all NA6's come with LSD as standard of did some come with open diffs? How much should I expect to pay for a decent condition LSD? Reason I ask is that I will be doing a few d...
