Yeah the rollbar requirement for playday events is a pain in the bum a bit: Yes it is good to have one....but so are airbags and a range of other safety devices which aren't a requirement.

Sourcing a rollbar for an MX5 can be difficult (more so for the NB) but is a good investment.
