From my own experience I would say that: 1) underfloor bracing is a must if you like the twisties ;-) 2) strut brace over the engine... nah, not really but it looks good 3) rear strut brace, dunno, but looking forward at testing this :-) 4) get or the brace behind the seats OR if you want to get som...

HOWTO: Paint or Polish your Valve Cover (Rocker Cover)
These are a few links that I 'borrowed' from other clubs, but hey it doesn't matter whatever Valve Cover it is you're painting, the painting is all the same: http://www.hondaclub.com/forum/articles/1546-diy-valve-cover-painting.html http://www.carolinahondas.com/forums/showthread.php?s=23d44481d14dd...

Well I did call Mazda in the end and I got a Panasonic battery of them. HAd been advised by different garages that it "won't be possible anywhere in NZ to get the Panasonic, but this EXIDE here would do just the job at $180.00..." Even went down the track of getting the price of posting a PAnasonic ...

Guys, Looks like I need a new battery in the 5. The car came with a conventional lead acid type battery when I bought it 2 weeks ago BUT I want to get the original Gelcel Panasonic battery. Or if I cannot get that one another Gelcel the likes of WestCo . I don't have the serial number to order the P...

Hard Top, and soft top request
Guys, Just like most of you I don't like driving a convertible with the roof up. I did buy a hard top because I got a really good deal, and I was very happy with it! It helps the regidity of the car if you don't have a lot of bracing under it, and in winter it is very nice to climb in a damp free ca...

This is great! Not as difficult as I thought it would be. Does this mean - hypothetically now - if I could make my 5 a twin turbo and a certifier certifies I'd be good to go on the road? What is the story with holes? Do you mean like when you would be making a FM extractor yourself? Why I am asking ...

Wots legally needed for a turbo?
Guys, Owned a Greddy Turboed 5 back in Europe that I had to sold when I came to NZ. In Belgium that was a bit of a paper war and multiple WOF's to get the big thumbs up. What do you have to do in NZ so you can legally drive a 5 with aftermarket FI installed? And is it reasonably easy? Cheers, WiM (C...

Tourists cutting corners
"It has always surprised me, how few accidents we actually have with tourists driving on the wrong side of the road."
