Bought this little turd a month or two ago, I knew it had a blown head gasket or a cracked head so last week I changed the head gasket. A fantastic day at Hampton on Sunday apart from crashing haha! Luckily we managed to straighten out the front enough that the wheels didn't rub, and even luckier that none of the running gear or even the alignment was affected. Not too sure whether to get a new shell or repair this one.. Good news w...

Nope took me about a half hour to remove it, my dad has a hoist in his workshop so I borrowed that and his welder which made it a heck of a lot easier :). I've already got a full stainless exhaust system apart from the cat so I just unbolted it, cut the cat off from the flanges and welded in a strai...

stuff

Fuel filter = changed. I cut the old one open and it was dirty af.
Catalytic Converter = gone. Sounds so much better and raspier and gruntier without it. :)
Also rolled the front guards a little more because my car is now at a stanced height. :)

Rear Suspension issues

Okay so I have got BC gold coilovers, with 1 and 1/2 inch tophats at the rear, and on the rear right hand side I am having issues with suspension travel where the top A-arm seems to be hitting the chassis and preventing any suspension travel on that side, the left side is fine... Also worth noting t...

busy week so far

I installed a new R-package lip on the rear, I bought it from Dylan Nielson and unfortunately the smaller piece was cracked but Dylan is going to replace it so that's really awesome :) I also made some new tophats for my BC coilovers so that I can finally go almost properly low, or low enough.. ;) I...

BC Golds

I picked these up from Redline the other day and just finished putting them in this afternoon. The difference in ride quality is AMAZING, in saying that I did come from a setup which bottomed out all the time and rubbed the gourds all the time so yeah, now all I need is a cert haha. As low as they c...

nc

I've test driven a base model NC before and they handle pretty much the same as an NA but with moar power, and wayy more space. The one thing I didn't like was the handbrake handle kept hitting my leg but I'm 6' 4" so idk. I recommend spending a tiny bit more and getting a special edition or RS mode...

racks

Nah no damage at all the hardtop seems to be sturdy enough for them. They are for 'gutter-less' cars so they have this 'hook' type plate which sort of clamps the rack onto the roof by adjusting it, also you can adjust the width/spacing of the pads which take the load so I spaced those so they are pr...

I can now go surfing thanks to a set of $40 trademe roof racks from Thule!
Also I think they look pretty mad as well :)

And the stripe thing I did as well, not sure what to think about it but I kinda like and it is also on vinyl so it doesn't matter!
