winking headlights - which one?

So tell me, if you could rewire your car so only one headlight pops up and down, which one would you choose, left or right?

Peter this is a non political site no sneak questions on election day to see
if one is left or right leaning.

winking headlights - which one?

It's simple!

Blue MX5s should wink to the right
Red MX5s to the left
Green MX5s should have the left light permanently up (conserves energy putting
it up and down)
Black MX5's should wink on either side in an indeterminate manner, depending
on how many reds or blues it sees on the day.
Yellow MX5s will probably not wink at all, except maybe in Epsom

winking headlights - which one?

Post by peter » Sat Sep 17, 2005 4:00 pm

given the state of politics these days, you need a centre light.

The question arose from the previous thread "RE: blinkin' headlight" - Linda's brother is an autoelectrician and he thinks the Bambi wink mod is overkill ( http://mywebpage.netscape.com/RedMiataBambi/Wink/)

and a simpler solution using the dash button might be possible : we'll investigate this and post instructions if it works and doesn't blow the car up.

My personal preference is for the r/hand light to pop up... it's the one that oncoming traffic is more likely to see!

the next question of course will be what depth of alteration to the car's aerodynamics will occur dependant on left or right headlight only versus both or none...

Well that's perfectly fine Pete, your Blue car would comply with the rules.

My red one gives me a bit of a problem

Depends on which side of the road you drive?
