I'm in need of a loan of a handheld programmer or similar for a Link Electrosystems EMX model ECU.
I don't know much about the various Link ECU types, but I believe this was one of their very early models.
Any other leads or info such as whether it hook to a PC etc would be useful too...
Thanks to anyone who can help
cheers

Sorry Howard - have been offline for a couple of days.
Im unsure what the EMX stands for (but Ill do some googling) - the handheld is the standard link unit that is used by all the ECU's. The pins on the connector are something like 1.5cms wide and two pins high.
I also have the standard Link controller that connects to a laptop via the same connectors.
Anyway I have it here and you are welcome to borrow it.
Give me a call if you like 021461330 - would be nice to catch up anyway.

ahh - just found it on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link_ElectroSystems Im not sure if it will use the handheld as it looks like it would pre-date most of the features. Either way you are welcome to have a play and see if its fits anywhere.
I dont know if you have it in the car at the moment or not. If not - Im thinking that this could be A LOT of work - you may get a better result with a emanage bule with a lot less trouble and more importantly less exposure to a bad tune.
