topDown Magazine
Hi, everyone, I hope you have all received the latest edition of topDown which was posted on Sunday.
After 5 years as Ed I am starting to run out of ideas to fill the mag. Put your thinking caps on and let me know if there are any topics of interest you would like covered. Or more importantly, send me some articles for inclusion in the next edition.
There is also a possibility that I may not be available as Ed next year, so if anyone would like to put their hand up, let me know.
Cheers MX5PWR (Nigel)

I haven't picked mine up from the box yet but am looking forward to it!
I'll see if I can find something useful to add for you for the next one.
I should point out that Nigel also works with Fiona who does a lot of
the layout/desktop publishing etc... so if someone else was thinking
about giving it a go you will still have another to help you (as long as
Fi is happy to keep up the layout stuff next year).
cheers
I'm assuming you mean those that are MX5 Club of NZ members...?Hi, everyone, I hope you have all received the latest edition of topDown

Nigel - great magazine as always!
How about getting everyone to submit photos/story of their car, publish 5 or 6 an issue and invite readers to vote for the car they like best, announce the results in the following issue, with a Grand finale in December (ie all the issue winners get voted on) ?

Re: topDown Magazine
There has got to be a story or two about some of those cars listed in the MX5Forum Garage... I see we have three cars on the Dyno table now, one that looks like a 'fast and the furious' clone... and one... with an xbox in the boot (which incidentally I'm thinking of putting in my OTM...)peter wrote:Nigel - great magazine as always! How do all.
Nigel has at long last managed to unshackle himself from the chains of editing the club mag. I thought it was time to give him a break so i put my hand up...and here I am.
Ok, so now you're all wondering where is this issue. Well...as I type, it's sitting in a box in the front room having been delivered en masse to me this morning.
The reason for its late arrival was due to an oversight at the printers concerning the amount of Massey Uni work that had to be done. As the printers are attached the Uni, we had to hold fast while they sorted their own work...and rightly so. Anyway, you should have it by next week. Apologies for the late arrival.
Now, to follow up the link from Nigel's original post...the challenge still stands for you lot to flick me some articles....and lots of pictures.
Get your thinking caps on
Cheers

Well here are some photos of mine you can use if you're desparate to fill space. Nothing too amazing but its an MX5 somewhere they probably don't go very often.

Wow...excellent pictures! If it's ok with you, I'd like to use some of those at a later date (this next issue is a snowball run issue and I've got a front page pic) for the front page. I was thinking of running a photo competition at some time as most people have got pics of their cars hidden away in the depths of a computer somewhere that never see the light of day.
Yup, rejoin and buy a new hat
You can't go wrong for 45 bux a year...it's barely half a tank of gas.

Thanks for the offer of larger res pictures. Sounds good, I'll give you a shout at some point.
Joining the club is not to everyone's taste, but I find that the majority of folk who do join manage to get a lot out of it.
We're not all anoraks and tyre kickers like some other car clubs are reputed to be, and there is a fair amount of going out for lunch on a sunday. However, the lunches are usually after giving your car a good spanking around some roads that you've probably never been on. Like i say, for 45 bux a year it's not a bad price. Why not just go out with your local region and see how you get on. I know you'll be made to feel welcome.
