Hi out there. What is the correct Diff oil for the Mx5 with a Torsen LSD.
Both workshop manuals only quote API GL4 or 5 75-90 Gear oil for the MX5
diff.
In past vehicles I have had special lsd oil had to be used .
When I drained it last week it was not far from dark red 'molasses'
consistancy. The replacement 75-90 gear oil looks entirely different.
Would appreciate some advice
Thanks
Allan

Hi Allan
Special oil isn't required, as the torsen doesn't depend on viscosity
to work. AFAIK. A viscous or clutch diff is a different story tho...
