The only person I know that has a Link is Fletch, so He'd be the one to ask, though he's using it in a NA set-up. I inquired about getting one a while back and it was going to cost around $1600 plus about $200 to fit and tune, but then a new fuel pump and the horrendous cost of my impending nuptials rendered me penniless so I might have to wait a while.

Link ECU (was re[2]: Bipes ACU)
I have one too...
Very easy to install if you don't mind cutting a few wires and splicing.
Mostly it just replaces the existing ecu. When I bought mine (about 3 years
ago) it cost $2k including the ecu, MAP sensor, keypad for programming,
serial-link to connect to PC etc, and knock sensor. Recommended to buy the
software from Flyin Miata in the USA to replace Links own which isn't as
good. Add about another NZ$200 for that (includes air temperature sensor
additon). Car is NA like Fletch's. Is it better with the ECU? If you want
things like aftermarket cams it is... or forced induction. For most people
who don't want forced induction, just more grunt, a conversion using Loch
Stewarts kit from Australia is much better value for money, and I would have
done that knowing what I do now...

I've added a MiataLink to a turbo setup also, works well "out of the box".
pros:
- plug-in
- does timing, fuel adjustment
-takes bigger injectors, fuel pump not needed yet (@ 12 psi, 550cc injectors)
- MAP sensor
- boost control
- cool MiataLinkLab (MLL) software, Flyin Miata (FM) support if chip purchased there.
- air temp compensation with FM chip
- DIY tuning (FM)
- sequential injector setup for 1.6 (FM)
cons:
- plug pins may be different with Flyin Miata chip. Mine needed some rewiring.
- FM chip basically requires handset (+ $300)
- the as-delivered (non-FM) chip doesn't do air temp compensation, timing granularity is 1 degree instead of 0.25 deg w/ FM.
BTW - there's at least two other turbo'd mx5's on Auckland's North Shore. Both using the wire-in LinkPlus. (Must be masochists
... did I mention no cheap options ? Someone here planned to do it for ~$4k, but err... missed.
another "cheap" option -> http://www.miataforum.com/ubb/ultimateb ... 1;t=014561
another brave DIY-er -> http://www.darthmaulata.com/
cheers,
